Job Description
 
Reporting to the Board of Directors and the Management Team, the Operations Managers primary responsibilities are to ensure organisational effectiveness by providing leadership for the Companies key operational functions and the management of the Corporate Services and Compliance Team ("CSC").

This role will be primarily based in the UK offices of the company; the successful candidate will need to have a flexible attitude to regular travel for meetings and conferences at non UK offices within the company

The position also contributes to the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies, practices and staff.
 
Responsibilities
  • Improve as necessary the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organisations mission -- specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process, organisational planning and staff development;
  • Ensure that the responsibilities and tasks of the department are planned, clearly documented and followed by all reporting staff;
  • Creation, development and regular updating of an Operations and CSC procedures manual which will be used a process blue print;
  • Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the Corporate Services Teams workflow, and the interaction of the team with other departments and offices of the company;
  • Ensure prompt task deliverance of the team through making improvements to efficiency and accuracy of each function, as well as the coordination and communication with existing Operations Co-ordination staff;
  • Play a significant role in short and long term planning, geared toward operational excellence;
  • Attend and make a meaningful contribution during regular internal and external meetings;
  • Manage and co-ordinate responses to enquiries and requests that are received from external intermediaries, advisers and investors;
  • Provide regular relevant and precise department reporting to the Board of Directors and Management Team.
 
Responsibilities by Function

  • Manage operational and process driven tasks and functions;
  • Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of support services through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between functions and departments within the Company;
  • Drive initiatives in the management team and organisationally that contribute to long-term operational excellence.

  • Contribute to short and long-term organisational planning and strategy as a manager of the company, with the prospect of graduation to the senior management team of the group after a qualifying period;

Desired qualifications and attributes

  • 5 years' experience in a Financial services organisation;
  • Previous Operational Management experience;
  • Understanding of fund structures and investment assets;
  • Understanding of UK and non UK financial regulatory framework and legislation;
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook, and access;

Development Prospects

Job Description

The office based telesales role is to provide support to maximise the effectiveness of the business development team, by producing high quality leads and working as a team member towards agreed set targets and profitability goals. The sales team promotes a wide range of offshore Investment Funds that are currently managed by MPL.
