Traded Endowment Policy
A TEP (Traded Endowment Policy), is a traditional with-profit endowment policy, which the original policyholder has sold on to a private or institutional investor by full assignment of all future benefits, for a better price than the surrender value his/her life insurance company has offered.

Also referred to as TLP, Traded Endowments or Traded Life Policies.

Life Assurance Settlement
A life assurance settlement is a financial transaction in which a policy owner possessing an unneeded or unwanted life insurance policy sells said policy to a third party for more than the cash value offered by their life insurance company. The purchaser then becomes the new beneficiary of said policy at maturation and is responsible for all subsequent premium payments at regular intervals or in lump sums.

Also referred to as Life Settlements, or Life Assurance.
